YOUTH PROTECTION
EVERY BOY DESERVES TO FEEL SAFE, SEEN, AND RESPECTED.
Serving young people is a privilege. It is also a responsibility.

HOTF is committed to maintaining environments built around appropriate adult conduct, healthy boundaries, accountability, awareness, and child protection.

THE STANDARD IS CLEAR.
PROTECT THE BOY.
That commitment informs how we approach:

ADULT SCREENING
Appropriate screening requirements for adults serving with youth.
HEALTHY BOUNDARIES
Clear expectations surrounding adult-to-youth interactions.
SUPERVISION
Responsible adult presence and accountability.

MANDATED REPORTING
Concerns involving suspected abuse or neglect are handled according to applicable reporting requirements.

APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION
Communication with boys should remain respectful, appropriate, and aligned with organizational expectations.

DIGNITY & RESPECT
No boy should be humiliated, demeaned, threatened, or treated as though his circumstances define his value.
WE DON'T INVESTIGATE.
WE REPORT CONCERNS TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES.
Our responsibility is to recognize concerns, respond appropriately, document when required, and follow established reporting procedures.
Protecting children takes priority over protecting reputations.
TRUST REQUIRES ACCOUNTABILITY.
Good people need good standards.
Strong organizations build both.
