     For Andrew Martin, The Hearts of the Father Outdoor Expeditions is more than an organization—it is personal.

As an adoptee, Andrew understands that a boy can be surrounded by people and still wrestle with questions of identity, belonging, trust, and worth. That understanding became part of the foundation for HOTF.

​

Since founding the organization in 2015, Andrew has walked alongside boys from foster care, adoption, and hard places—many carrying trauma, behavioral challenges, difficult diagnoses, and stories they did not choose. His belief remains simple: a boy is more than what happened to him, more than a diagnosis, and more than his hardest day.

Through outdoor mentorship, meaningful challenge, faith, accountability, and trusted relationships, Andrew has built HOTF around creating environments where boys have room to grow stronger, discover what they are capable of, build resilience, and experience the power of someone consistently showing up.
