The Hearts of the Father Outdoor Expeditions is a faith-centered, trauma-informed brotherhood committed to boys from foster care, adoption, and hard places.

We are outdoorsmen, mentors, advocates, and trusted adults who believe a boy should never be reduced to a diagnosis, a placement, a behavior, or the hardest chapter of his story.

We are different by design.

HOTF was built outside—around campfires, on trails, beside the water, in the saddle, and through challenges that reveal courage boys may not yet recognize in themselves. We believe faith provides the foundation, nature creates the environment, and consistent relationships make growth possible.

Our identity is grounded in presence. We show up with structure, safety, accountability, encouragement, and the willingness to remain steady when a boy’s life has been anything but steady.

A place where walls can come down.

Where trust can grow.

Where failure is not final.

Where strength is discovered.

Where faith is lived, not merely discussed.

 

And where a boy can experience what it feels like to be known, challenged, encouraged, and welcomed.
