WHO ARE WE?

 

​       Since 2015, we've been doing something pretty simple:

                                        Taking boys outside.

​

Camping. Fishing. Hiking. Outdoor skills. Ranch work. Hunting opportunities. Campfires. Challenges. Good food. Conversations. And sometimes just sitting beside a lake doing absolutely nothing. Because not every meaningful moment has to look like a program.

Sometimes a boy needs an adventure.

Sometimes he needs a challenge.

Sometimes he needs someone cheering when he catches his first fish.

Sometimes he needs a place where nobody is asking him about his past.

And sometimes he just needs a really good weekend.

That's where HOTF comes in.

​

Our coaches and volunteers create opportunities for boys to experience new things alongside adults who are committed to providing a safe, encouraging, and respectful environment.

​

We don't promise to fix everything.

We don't pretend a campout erases trauma.

​

We simply believe that positive experiences and people who consistently show up matter.

​

And after more than a decade outdoors with boys, we're still convinced that some of life's best conversations happen around a campfire.
